Even if you don't have a single artistic bone in your body, Design-her Gals makes it easy for you to dream up your own unique stationery. While doing it, you'll have fun and contribute money to help women with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. I've always wanted to be an artist, one with the natural skill and inclination to draw and design. But this type of artistic ability has never been my strong suit. Until now. With a teeny-tiny bit of help (okay, a lot of help) from Design-her Gals, I designed my own notecards, complete with a gal that looks something like me. And, by purchasing those notecards, I contributed money for people who've been diagnosed with a particularly critical stage of cancer. The Design-her Gals website is pretty cool. You start out in the "dressing room," where you choose a gal type, including eye color, skin tone, hair style, and hair color. Then you choose an outfit—tops, bottoms, shoes, and fun stuff. There are more choices here than you can imagine, so it's easy to get carried away! Once you've created your gal, you can save her. Then it's off to the "printshop," where you can put your custom-made gal with your custom-made text on notecards, stationery, invitations, stickers, address labels, business cards, tee-shirts, mugs, and aprons. The possibilities are endless, and in no time at all you can come up with a myriad of uses both for yourself and for friends and family. You can create unique gifts (wedding, birthday, etc.), thank-you notes, business supplies, or just plain fun stuff. More important than creativity and fun, however, Design-her Gals is a company with a cause. "The passion and purpose behind Design-her Gals is to raise funds and awareness for Stage 4 breast cancer patients through their non-profit Gal to Gal Foundation. A portion of all orders goes to this important cause." Stage 4 Breast Cancer means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body such as the lungs, liver or bones. Stage 4 is a "critical stage, when health insurance benefits may be reduced or cancelled - and hospice care is hard to find." By designing and purchasing products from Design-her Gals, you can make a difference. The company's goal this year is to raise $100,000. In addition to what you yourself can design, they've also got some great t-shirts such as "Cancer Sucks" and "Breast Cancer Has No Borders." Get creative and turn yourself into a designer! With Design-her Gals, it's easy, fun, and purposeful.
