Fair trade chocolate is like fair trade coffee – to be certified as fair trade, food and drink have to pass an inspection process to ensure that the workers involved are paid an appropriate wage and that the products are purchased from the producer at a reasonable price. Do your best to find a place nearby that sells the stuff as you wrap up Lent in style.
