Add it up and save. The next time you're shopping for food, use that wonderful thing called math that you learned back in the day. Spend a few seconds calculating some long-term costs and you'll save some money and some planet. In less than a minute, you should easily see that a filter for your faucet is much cheaper than cases and cases of bottled water (and produces a lot less waste). And, buying in bulk will keep cash in your pocket and have you driving to the store a lot less. As our friend Zack the statistician tells us, "Saving money is good."

I've cut out all those in between trips to the store we used to do and now only shop once a week. We save gas by only having to drive there once a week and we save money by not making all those trips and buying things we don't really need.
