MLK's legacy is a call to service. "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'" Martin Luther King, Jr.'s list of quotable quotes is long and well worth reading, but this one will forever be a universal call to service. The question is not a matter of will or ability. The question is one of action. Good, better and best intentions are tossed aside. It’s an implicit and rhetorical mandate. Take time today to answer the question, perhaps while you listen to and read Dr. King’s most famous words in celebration of an inspiring man who possessed the strength to love.

I want to thank you for providing the text AND the voice of Dr. King himself to me and ( through me and the computer in the school Library) to my students. I teach 2 ESOL classes and a reading GED prep class composed of students transitioning from ESOL to GED as well as students who are born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. All the students paid rapt attention to Dr. King's words and were quite interested in the discussion that followed. Thankyou again for providing an inspiring teaching tool.
