School Tour

Take a look around at a school near you.

When was the last time you took a look inside a public school? If it's been a while, make an appointment to get a guided tour of the school closest to you. Whether you have school-aged kids at home or not, public schooling is an issue that affects everyone, and a simple tour of the local high school can give you a new perspective on what the needs are in a given school or district. In fact, if you want to take it a step further and really learn something, visit a school that's farther away from your neighborhood.

I often volunteer to help with local science fairs at elementary schools. It's a lot of fun, and very interesting to see how different schools conduct their science fairs.
