While canvas and cloth bags are great for the environment, they're also sturdier and larger, and some places will even toss a discount your way. Cities and stores are doing away with pesky plastic, but you can be ahead of the game and join with other Cool People today by choosing to reuse.

I bought a couple of reuseable bags from my Co-op (partically because they were cute) and then a couple of weeks later I bought some Wal-mart. I was just so tired of the plastic bags piling up under my sink even though those get taken back to the store and recycled there.
