See how much you can carry out without a bag. Everyone knows that if you're just grabbing one thing at the store, then you can skip a paper or plastic bag. But what if you need two things? Or three? What's the rule about small quantities? While we couldn't find the official protocol, we think that if you can carry it out sans bag, more power to you. Sure, you may have to stack your cans on top of the cereal box, but who cares? You're saving a bag! And, if you've got a cart, just push everything out to the car, (where you left your reusable canvas bags). The No-Bag Challenge: When you go shopping this weekend, don't use a bag, no matter how many items you buy. Then, share in the comments how many items went bagless and we'll send one of our reusable canvas bags to the person with the most !

I also carried out four apples, but they were in one of those fruit sacks. Thanks for the challenge! I had my son with me to help carry things there was a total of 78 items - but you may not want to count the 12 gallons of water as we never bag those anyway.
