Go ahead and start planning your home improvements for next year, especially those that make your home more eco-friendly and energy efficient. Last month, President Bush signed into law a bill that extended tax credits for things like roofs, windows, doors and insulation that save the planet. While these credits don't include improvements you made this year, if you were thinking of upgrading your water heater or HVAC next year, you've got one more reason to go green.
