5 minutes of caring

Take It Out, Take It In

Take It Out, Take It In

Reuse that fast food bag for some slow food.

The next time you grab something to go from your favorite restaurant, don't be so quick to toss the paper bag that comes along with it – especially if it's still clean. That paper beauty can be used the next day as you carry your leftovers into the office to warm up at lunchtime. Chances are, you won't have a need to buy paper bags anymore if you start saving them from all those trips out. You certainly reuse your plastic bags (if you even have any, you cloth-bag-bringing cool person, you), so do the same with the paper variety.

Or better yet, refuse the bag altogether and just leave without it. I bought an insulated nylon bin for my car trunk and I just sit everything in there.

Also, if I forget to grab my "green bags" from the car when I'm at the grocery store, instead of leaving with paper or plastic bags, I simply put everything back in the cart and load it into my bags when I get to the car.
